What visual problem do you come to Oftalvist with?
I have suffered from dry eye in both eyes for at least 7 or 8 years. Every time I have gone to the ophthalmologist they have prescribed artificial drops but never any other type of treatment.
How does dry eye affect your life on a daily basis?
Mainly stinging and redness. I remember once driving and I had to ask the co-driver to take the car because of the discomfort he had.
What do they ask you at the Oftalvist center where you go to improve these symptoms?
The specialist doctor explains to me a new treatment through pulsed light that consists of three sessions with a laser with an interval of approximately 20 days between each session, as well as drops and some medications.
How is the experience with this treatment?
After the first and second sessions I noticed little improvement, but after the third session I began to notice the results and therefore to improve the discomfort I had.
Do you follow any medical indications after the treatment?
No. Only artificial tears when necessary.
Finally, has your visual quality improved after treatment?
Yes, especially after the third session. Before, he felt a lot of discomfort when entering dry places like the cinema or the theater and he only found relief on the street. Now I can even read and watch television without being uncomfortable. In fact, it's been days since I've used artificial drops either and I feel very well.
