What visual problem do you come to Oftalvist with?
I go to this clinic with a problem of dry eye, blepharitis and keratitis.
How does dry eye affect your life on a daily basis?
Mainly it made it impossible for me to work properly with permanent pain in my eyes, blurred vision, itching and an almost continuous feeling of discomfort throughout the eye socket.
What do you think about Oftalvist?
A new IPL pulsed light treatment.
What is the experience like during treatment?
There were a total of three sessions, about 10 minutes each, and although it is slightly painful, it is very bearable. They protect your eyes with special glasses since the light is intense. Once finished now I have to go for revision every two months approximately.
Do you follow any medical indications after the treatment?
Yes. At home I have to clean my eyelids well, apply artificial tears and wear glasses on windy and cold days.
Finally, has your visual quality improved after treatment?
It has greatly improved my quality of life. I no longer have continuous pain in my eyes. I notice both eyes more lubricated, I use fewer amounts of artificial tears, I tolerate cold and wind better. In addition, the permanent inflammation that I had in the upper and lower eyelids has been reduced.
