With what visual problem do you arrive at Oftalvist?
Cataracts in both eyes.
What prevents you from performing your ocular pathology in your day to day and how does it affect you?
Mainly, I couldn't do without the glasses.
What do they ask you at the Oftalvist center where you go to improve your visual health?
After an eye examination, the specialist offers me two solutions. Either conventional cataract surgery or laser multifocal lens implant surgery. Finally I opted for the second option due to its less ocular trauma to my eyes.
How is the experience in the operating room?
Excellent, but above all, my experience was better with the surgery on my left eye than the second eye I had surgery on. Given the nerves that I went through during the first eye surgery, they administered some sedation to calm me down in addition to the usual anesthetic drops that are applied during surgery.
And the postoperative period?
Excellent in both eyes, with hardly any discomfort.
Do you follow any medical indications after surgery?
Yes. Clear and very simple: avoid picking up weights and bending over, in addition to correct administration of eye drops, with the appropriate dosage.
Finally, what can you do now, that you couldn't do before, in your day to day?
Now I can see perfectly at all distances, without the need to use any type of glasses.
